I am an exfoliating fiend. As a person with oily/combination skin and large pores prone

to acne (winning combination!), exfoliating plays a key part in my skin care routine to
help keep my complexion even, pores tight, and breakouts at bay. One of my perennial
favorites is the Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser from Suki Skincare.

This vegan scrub is a beautiful sensory experience from start to finish. Ingredients

include natural sugar, fragrant invigorating lemongrass, and soothing calendula and lavender oils to help calm skin. This scrub works as both a mechanical & enzyme exfoliant; natural sugar provides gentle alpha hydroxy acid, non GMO rice flour & citric acid from lemongrass unclog pores, remove dead skin, and resurface skin.  You can use this versatile product in a few different ways, which helps pad the blow of the hefty price tag. Perhaps the most obvious is as a mechanical exfoliating scrub, by applying directly to your moistened face and using gentle circular motions to stimulate blood flow and slough off dead skin.

You can also use it as an “exfoliate foaming cleanser” (novel!), emulsifying a small amount of it in wet hands to activate the foaming
action and break down the sugar granules for a frothy, gentle cleanser that lifts away impurities and leaves your face feeling clean, fresh, and toned. The other great strength of this product is that it’s suitable for use on many different skin types! It’s generally not recommended for those who suffer from cystic acne (though I personally have an occasional cystic breakout that I treat using 0.025% Retin A and have had success with this product despite it), and I would be cautious and consult with our dermatologist before trying this particular Suki product if you suffer from either cystic acne or rosacea and are currently under a physician’s care.
